BLOGMAS DAY 5: Holiday Candles
Here we go, the most typical white girl post you'll see out of this whole Blogmas run (maybe. Not sure yet). I'm a big sucker for candles, more specifically the ones from Bath and Body Works. Every year right before Christmas they do their $10 candle sale, and it's a big punch to my wallet. This year was no exception. Although BBW has great scents all year round, they always seem to shine through during the fall and winter. This year I grabbed some amazing scents that are holiday themed, and I'm gonna talk all about them right now! (FYI not endorsed by BBW, though I wish. If anyone on BBW's marketing team is reading this, holla at your girl!)
1. Merry Cookie
This candle is the perfect balance of sweet but not too sweet, which is great if that's your thing. It has a very authentic cookie scent and smells like you could practically eat. Which, in my books, makes for a solid 10/10 candle.
2. Frosted Cranberry
I couldn't pass on a cranberry candle this year. Something about the fruity scent just gives serious winter vibes, and this candle does just that. Although it gives off the obvious smell of cranberry, it's got a bit of a heavier scent to it, so you don't have to burn it for too long for it to have an impact. Not to mention because of how strong it is, it sticks around for a day or so, so you don't have to feel like you constantly have to burn it.
3. Vanilla Bean Noel
Vanilla Bean Noel has a very sugary scent to it. It's about as good as smelling vanilla icing, post-baked goods. It also has some caramel and milk notes added to it which puts a cool twist on a vanilla classic. Definitely worth trying out.
4. Spiced Gingerbread
Something about gingerbread and candles wouldn't necessarily be the first candle I'd grab, but upon smelling it, I was hooked. This guy smells just like what you'd expect a gingerbread cookie baking in the oven to smell like. Because of the spice in it, the scent picks up right away and is super enjoyable.
