BLOGMAS DAY 10: My Christmas List
Time to get a little selfish here. Today on the blog is all about the things on my Christmas list. These are items I've been eyeing for some time, or have just recently popped up that I'd love to see under the tree!
Panic! at the Disco's Pretty. Odd. Vinyl
This damn album. I have wanted this album on vinyl since I first started collecting records. It's always been at an astronomical cost because it's considered rare, and my bank account just does not have the funds and patience for it. However, a recent re-issue is set to be released on December 16th. So naturally I'll be dying to see if it makes it in time. If not, I'll definitely buy it for myself. What's wrong with a little post-holiday vinyl shopping?
Weezer-Blue Album Vinyl
Similar to Panic, Weezer's Blue Album was always on my list, but at a cost of $40-50 everywhere I'd seen it, I just couldn't justify. However, the band has re-issued all of their albums, which has ultimately decreased the cost of the albums. It's killing me not being able to buy them, but I know it's worth the wait. Slow and steady!
Too Faced's Christmas In New York Grand Hotel Cafe
Originally on my list was the Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette. That was until I went to New York after Thanksgiving and saw this beaut. This collection comes with three different palettes, all named after different holiday beverages; Eggnog Latte, Peppermint Mocha, and Gingerbread Cookie Coffee. The fact that 2/3 are named after Starbucks drinks also fuels my inner white girl. Bonus? THEY'RE SCENTED. At a $300 value this amazing set only costs $62 which is honestly such a steal. Had to do a double take while also trying not to take it home with me.
I'm Talking As Fas As I Can by Lauren Graham
I was so excited when I heard that Lauren Graham was releasing a book. Not only have I loved her work on Gilmore Girls, but I'd love to hear how she got started in the business, her transition to Broadway and writing her own fiction novel. Plus she's just so cute and quirky. I can relate.
Leave Your Mark by Aliza Licht
I first heard of this book after seeing a lot of my favourites on Instagram posting about it. After checking it out and reading the first two chapters in store, I super down to read more. Leave Your Mark is all about how to kill it in social media and helping to brand yourself which, as a writer and social fiend, I think would be a great read to up my game. Here's hoping!
Marc Jacob's Daisy Perfume
This perfume has been such a blessing and a curse for me. A blessing because of its beautiful scent. A curse because it's so expensive. I fell in love with this perfume when I received a sample bottle of it from my local beauty supply outlet. I've done everything I can to make that sucker last, and after 4 years, there's still about 3 drops left that I'm saving for a special occasion. Lord knows I'd do the same with a full size bottle. Daisy has got such a nice light airy scent to it that not only is it not overpowering, but it's a perfect spring/summer scent that you can still wear no matter the time of year. I'm in love. And I have a problem.
Gift Cards
When in doubt, gift cards out! I'm always a sucker for a good gift card, especially from clothing stores like Forever 21 and H&M. Always a must on my list.
