Today's post is focusing on how to stylize your band merch. Typically with band merch, some people will think that the only thing you can wear it with is a pair of jeans. Though that may be true, I've found over the years that you can style your merch in any which way and still support some of your favourite artists. Here below are some examples of some creations I've made via Polymore. Enjoy!
This first example is my ideal outfit, and often how I pair my merch with my every day clothing. Here is a Fall Out Boy shirt with leggings and a hip length plaid shirt topped off with a pair of converse. Not only is it fashionable, but it's so comfortable. If you're going to an early class or just meeting up with a friend for an hour, this is a comfortable and easy going outfit.
My second outfit is one of my favourite pieces to wear when I go to school. As a journalism student, I like to dress the part, but I'm so very attached to the casual comfort of a t-shirt and jeans. A blazer is a fun way to dress up your band shirt by not only giving it a new shape, but also making you look sophisticated and smart. This outfit is topped off with a pair of Vans to still maintain a comfort value.
This last outfit is great for the spring and summer months. I have some peers and friends who hate to wear jeans all the time, so to spice it up, here's a band merch outfit that's incorporated with a skirt. This pokadot skirt offers a fun flare from the rest of the black that accompanies with it. In my example here, there is an Arctic Monkeys shirt with a floral background, also helping to give your overall outfit a bit of pop.
